Entrepreneurship Course

We've found that most entrepreneurs benefit highly from a focused 10 week program geared toward the business needs of a startup or emerging growth business which is contemplating an external capital raise. We believe strongly in the Kauffman Foundation Entrepreneurship format, spending 2 1/2 hours one night per week via video teleconference to focus on and work toward a strong business concept and fundable business plan. Each week time is spent covering business planning topics geared to specific sections of a business plan; hearing from outside experts to put those topics further into context, and working with mentors in small groups to address each participant's business plan in detail. During the course we focus on the Entrepreneurial journey, defining the service/product and market, market research/analysis, marketing/sales planning, financial management, forming the management team, legal issues (to include intellectual property), funding needs and investor types, investor pitch and document refinement. Focused entrepreneurs can use the class to develop a well structured business plan. Others may find the course an excellent vehicle to explore their entrepreneurial horizons. At a minimum, participants should be able to work through homework and in-class assignments to develop a well-reasoned business concept and elevator pitch ready to pursue a capital raise.
